Fusion Bearded Dragons

Buying from Fusion

The process and information required before purchasing a dragon from Fusion.

Choose or be offered a dragon

Available dragons may be advertised on the Fusion website or the official Fusion Bearded Dragons Facebook page.

People on a relevant waiting list may be contacted before a dragon is advertised publicly.

You do not need to hold a wildlife licence simply to contact Fusion or join a waiting list.

Complete the purchase form

Once you have chosen or been offered a dragon, you will be asked to complete our online purchase form.

Review the purchase form →

The form will require you to:

  • Upload your appropriate wildlife licence where one is required.
  • Confirm that you have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions, including Fusion’s minimum enclosure and husbandry requirements and voluntary three-month health guarantee.
  • Provide the information required for collection or airport freight.

Fusion confirms the purchase can proceed

Fusion will review the submitted information before accepting payment.

You must hold the appropriate wildlife licence at this stage and before purchasing the dragon.

If you do not have the required licence when a dragon is made available, the dragon may be offered to the next eligible person and you will need to rejoin the relevant waiting list.

Interstate buyers are responsible for any import permit required where they live. Fusion arranges any required export permit from Victoria. You do not need to upload your import permit to Fusion.

Full payment secures the dragon

Fusion does not offer deposits or payment plans.

A dragon is only secured once full payment has been received and confirmed.

Collection or freight

Dragons can be collected by appointment from Hoppers Crossing, Melbourne.

If you need airport freight, see How freight works below for booking and collection details.

Airport collection

How freight works

Fusion can arrange airport-to-airport freight to suitable destinations through Tail Travel, using suitable Qantas or Virgin Australia flights. Freight is not available to Tasmania or Western Australia.

Freight is normally arranged for Fridays. If a suitable Friday flight cannot be found, an alternative day may need to be arranged.

  1. The buyer provides their preferred suitable airport and the required collection details through the purchase form.
  2. Tail Travel sends the flight and collection details to the buyer by email. Buyers must also check their junk or spam folder.
  3. Fusion delivers the dragon to the departing airport.
  4. The buyer, or their nominated person, collects the dragon from the nominated arrival location.

Flight schedules and arrival times can change and are outside Fusion’s control. The person collecting the dragon must follow the emailed transport instructions and be available around the advised arrival time.

The dragon must be collected within one hour of the collection time stated in the transport email. Inspect it immediately after collection and contact Fusion immediately if there are any concerns.

Optional delivery from the airport

If you cannot collect from the airport, Tail Travel can in most circumstances arrange for an agent to collect the dragon and deliver it to your residence, subject to availability. This costs extra. Tail Travel or its agent sets the charge, which is outside Fusion’s control, and the availability and price will be confirmed before you agree.

Inspect the dragon as soon as the agent delivers it. Because Fusion cannot verify how the agent handled or transported the dragon between the airport and your residence, Fusion’s additional live arrival guarantee does not apply to this option. Please send clear photos or video of the dragon promptly by Facebook Messenger or text to 0433 046 156, and tell Fusion immediately if you see any concern. Once Fusion confirms the dragon was healthy on delivery, the voluntary three-month health guarantee can apply under its conditions. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected. Read the full details in Terms and Conditions, clauses 8.3–8.4 and 9.3–9.4.

After purchase

Three-month health guarantee

Dragons purchased directly from Fusion come with a voluntary three-month health guarantee as a goodwill gesture, subject to the conditions provided before purchase and the Fusion care requirements. Read the full process and conditions in the Terms and Conditions.

If you notice a health concern, contact Fusion promptly through Facebook Messenger or call or text 0433 046 156. Seek veterinary care when needed; do not delay emergency care while waiting for a response.
