About this policy
Fusion Bearded Dragons (“Fusion”, “we” or “us”) collects information to respond to enquiries, run its waiting list, sell and freight bearded dragons, and support buyers after a sale. This page explains what we collect and how we handle it.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, mobile number, city, state or territory, and delivery or collection details;
- information you give us on a waiting-list or purchase form, such as the dragons you are interested in, your preferences, budget and chosen airport;
- a copy or photograph of your wildlife licence or other authorisation when needed to assess an offer or complete a sale, including the details visible on it;
- order, payment and freight booking information, including the animal chosen and the person nominated to collect it;
- messages and information you send when asking for care advice or making a claim, such as photographs, videos, enclosure and equipment details, temperatures and veterinary findings; and
- basic information created when you use the website, such as technical and cookie information described in section 6.
Please do not send information about another person, such as a nominated airport collector, unless they know you are giving us their details for the booking.
2. How we collect and use it
We collect information directly from forms, messages, calls and purchases. We may also receive booking or delivery updates from a freight provider and information generated when someone uses our website.
We use the information to:
- respond to enquiries and manage the waiting list, including contacting you when a suitable dragon may be available;
- check licensing or permit requirements and assess whether a sale can proceed;
- process purchases, arrange collection or freight, and maintain transaction and wildlife records;
- provide care support and assess live-arrival or health-guarantee concerns;
- operate and improve the website and protect our forms from misuse; and
- send promotional updates only if you have chosen to receive them.
Joining the waiting list does not sign you up for unrelated marketing. You can ask to leave the waiting list or stop promotional messages by contacting us.
3. Who we share information with
We share only the information needed for the relevant purpose. This may include Wix and other providers that host our website or forms, a payment provider if one is used, Tail Travel, airlines and delivery agents involved in a freight booking, and a government authority where a record, permit or disclosure is required or authorised by law.
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We do not publish your personal details, licence image, private messages or photographs you send us for a claim. We will ask before using customer-supplied photographs or testimonials in public marketing.
Some website and service providers may process or store information outside Australia.
4. Keeping information safe and how long we keep it
We limit access to information used for orders, licence checks and claims to people who need it for Fusion's work. We take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
We keep information while it is needed for the purposes above, for any required wildlife or business records, and to deal with a purchase, support request or dispute. When it is no longer needed and no law requires us to retain it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. If you ask us to remove waiting-list details, we will do so unless a particular record must be kept for another reason.
5. Access, corrections and privacy concerns
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern using the contact details in section 8. We may ask for enough information to confirm your identity before disclosing or changing a record. We will review the request and explain if we cannot make a requested change or delete a record that must be retained.
6. Cookies and website information
Our Wix website may use cookies needed for basic site functions. If analytics or other optional tools are enabled, they may collect information about how people use the site. Browser settings may let you limit cookies, although some site functions may then work differently.
7. Other sites and policy changes
Links to Facebook, freight providers and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. We may update this policy as our forms and website change. The version date shown above identifies this policy.
