- Infrared temperature gun — non-negotiable

- Basking log or structure

- Domes
- A T8 UVB tube instead of T5
- Cheap or unbranded UVB tubes

Buying the correct equipment is only part of the process. Correct setup and calibration is what makes it work. Do not assume that buying the right products guarantees the right result without verifying temperatures and UVB positioning.

This guide exists because we believe that the standard of care a bearded dragon receives should match the thought and care that went into breeding it. You now have everything you need to provide that.
If something is not right, work through it in order: check heat, check UVB and check the full setup. Many common problems are found there. Serious, persistent or unexplained signs still require veterinary assessment; a correct setup check should support that process, not delay it.
